RESERVATIONS – SRM – IHM KATTANKULATHUR Front Office Club founded to help students in the local area acquire more skills in their fields of study and successfully expand into new areas of expertise. We train the budding hotelier who are passionate about Front Office to be their best! In this day and age, new ways to achieve more productivity are being released on a daily basis, and for companies to keep up, they need to keep their professionals up to date through training and retraining. We cater to professionals in all walks of life. The students go through activities, organize and host events at the college and gain experience from it. The club also takes initiative in organizing guest lectures from the industry to connect with the students.

HOUSEKEEPING CLUB: “SPIC & SPAN CLUB”
Our mission is to ensure pleasant, clean and safe campus to our students. Spic and span club has always ensured to maintain a very high level of competence among students through various housekeeping activities and workshops. Event organized under the club includes –cleaning of several outdoor areas under “Swachh Bharat Abiyan” to create awareness among students and public and to emphasize the importance of cleanliness and hygiene in our day to-day life. Club has also organised flower arrangement workshop, inter college housekeeping competitions, safety and security drills, industrial visit, theme lunch designing and implementation, celebration of housekeeper’s week and many more such events.

The club is similar to Eiswein like how the grapes are frozen while still on the vine likewise the students are trained while they are still in the learning process. Only selected students are taken from the crowd for the club like how only healthy grapes keep in good shape until the opportunity arises. This helps create a professional balance in the club.

We are proud to lead the newspaper club of SRM IHM. We thank the faculty members and seniors for entrusting us setting the bars high for us to excel and soar high. We are planning and heading on to add a lot of interesting elements into the newspaper, and our team consists of dedicated students from all the batches present in the college.
COMMUNICATION CLUB: “SPEAKER’S FORUM”
Communication is the primary means by which we construct social truth, recognize and review social developments, and effect social revolution. The Speakers Forum at SRM-IHM is a group for the students interested in communication and an excellent way for them to connect and network with each other in which they practice their speeches in front of their peers and receive constructive feedback on how to improve their speech. It is an enriching experience as the club is student-run, while the mentors are just there for support. The objective of the club is not only to improve the effectiveness of communication but also to enhance creativity and productivity of the students by giving them various exercises on writing and speaking skills.
The club serves as a social group to inspire fellowship among students. It connects students with professionals in the field of communication, foster critical thought on modern communication topics, and assists students with their language skills. Membership in Speakers Forum is open to any student interested in the field of Communication. The events of the club include several public speaking activities such as debates, declamations, extempore and poetic recitations. Besides, Group Discussions and academic seminars are conducted regularly to improve the responsiveness of the students.

NUTRITION CLUB: “THE NUTRI REVELATION CLUB”
Meetings:
We meet monthly twice, for planning and scheduling events, calculate nutritive values for innovative and developed recipes occasionally with the team members.
Club events:
- Nutrition Education Program for the community
- Organizing Poster competition for students
- Celebrating Nutrition week in first week of September every year with community outreach activities
- Conducting Quiz competition to re-equip the students with the present situation.
Campus events:
Creating awareness on recent and emerging trends in the field of nutrition, emphasizing scientific knowledge about foods by displaying charts and posters in department notice boards.

PR CLUB: “PITCH AND PRESS”
- The PITCH AND PRESS in SRM IHM deals with all the events, workshops, competitions in within the college and the events that is held between our college and other colleges. The PR Team also deals with the registrations of the participants and spreading out the words of the events in-between the students and the faculties.
- The PITCH AND PRESS also deals with the events that comes from other colleges and organisations and coordinates those events in-behave of our college
- The PITCH AND PRESS organisations and conducts the events in a very organised manner so that there is no problem conducting those events that time.
- The PITCH AND PRESS also looks after the participants list and the registrations that comes for the particular event so that no one is left behind or no one misses the events that takes place.
