BSc in Hotel Management & Catering Technology is a three years intensive programme which exposes the student to the diversity of hospitality industry and equips the student with intellectual & leadership capabilities allowing the student to move into diverse managerial roles in prestigious international organisations. Its multi-disciplinary programme focuses on critical analysis of management styles & strategic thinking required to succeed in hotel management.
In order to enhance the calibre of the students apart from the curriculum we are spreading our wings by encouraging international and national recognized speakers to edify the student’s skill.
Every Year SRM IHM furnish the students by bringing professionals from the field of bartending, they are also introduced to short term courses for juggling and mixology.
Soft skills training is in demanding of its employers, employees and businesses. It helps ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, employers, clients and customers, friends and family members it develops professional skill set required by Industry.

Food Production Trainning Program
As a part of curriculum SRM IHM organizes training program related to FOOD Production such as vegetable carving, Chocolate carving and moulding, confectionary and baking programmes. The college also introduced workshops based on Italian and French Cuisine.
Members of SICA (South Indian Culinary Association) and IFCA (Indian Federation of Culinary Association) often visits the campus and share their knowledge and experience.
Foreign Language Training Program
Regular French Language classes are held at SRM IHM. In recent years many foreigners have been arrived to assist foreign travellers. Tourism industry needed to learn foreign language for seeking exceptional and customized service that fits them well. Since hotel management courses are seasoned with French terms studying this language helps the hotelier to stand firm. This also helps in understanding the culinary terms used in the industry.
